There's the Kicker

January 24, 2012 Stacie Corliss

whataboutirony?: Stacie, you should sign up for Kickball! We could use someone like you!

I’m pretty sure she was referring to my overly-enthusiastic nature, not my kick-a$$ kickball skills.  What is kickball, exactly?

me: No, I would totally be down - I’m just afraid that I will never make it out on a Sunday.

Kickball takes place Sundays around noon.  In Santa Monica. That time-frame is usually filled with brunch, flea market-ing, and/or just waking up. Not in Santa Monica.

ihiredironyandprobablyregretitdaily: Wait, what? Don’t give up yet. There’s still hope.

What?

Oh. Right.

He thought I said, “I’m just afraid that I will never make-out on a Sunday.”

A. I’m glad that this is apparently totally plausible

B. It’s always nice to know your boss believes in you.

The trials & travails

of

stacie corliss

an autobiography. filed under awkwardness & embarrassment at your local library.

don't try to ask them about it at the desk. it gets really weird...really fast.

Note from the author:
my existence is magically tragic. mostly because jesus has decided to use my life for his own entertainment. it's okay to be a little bit jealous.
