Wherein My Mother Calls Me a Two Dolla Ho

January 15, 2015 Stacie Corliss

My mother recently read a blog post of mine which alluded to my making out with a boy in the front seat of my car. Then this conversation happened:

My Mother: You know, no one has to marry you if you just go and give it all away.

Me: Mom, I don't think I want anyone to feel like they have to marry me.

MM: (Pause.) (Long pause.) (Longer pause.) Hm.

...

...

...

Lord help us all if I ever make it to the backseat.

The trials & travails

of

stacie corliss

an autobiography. filed under awkwardness & embarrassment at your local library.

don't try to ask them about it at the desk. it gets really weird...really fast.

Note from the author:
my existence is magically tragic. mostly because jesus has decided to use my life for his own entertainment. it's okay to be a little bit jealous.
